  1. Claire Díaz-Ortiz Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the The Better Life: Small Things You Can Do Right Where You Are book, this is one of the most wanted Claire Díaz-Ortiz author readers around the world.

  2. Reading this book felt like taking a well written journey with Clair The short vignettes, although I ve already known some were the points that were written, were motivational and encouraging It is a short read of 161 pages, but packs a lot of points and ideas that will definitely get you to pause and think I believe that this book is worth reading, and will be enjoyable to those who want to attain a better life This arc was kindly provided by Moody Publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an ho [...]

  3. A quick read Some of it was useful, some not, some of it was stuff we have all heard before Each chapter has a piece of advice along with a story from the author s life that demonstrates how following the advice has helped her or how she is still working on it I rolled my eyes than a few times, but I took away a few good reminders track your days to learn about yourself if you need to fix a problem, find another person who cares about the problem to help you fix it quit something every week wo [...]

  4. A pleasant reminder of a lot of things I already knew, with a few thought provoking nuggets thrown in.

  5. great bookin short words lots of wisdome l like thise book because is very fluently and clar i like the style

  6. This book seems to be focused on the subtitle than the title Small things you can do right where you are Not to imply that that s a bad thing The book consists of 37 vignettes to give you small suggestions on ways to improve your life right now Most of these ideas are nothing new or oddly extraordinary, especially if like me you ve spent any time reading suggestions on how to get out of the daily grind Things like slowing down, taking time to breathe, saying no often Allowing yourself to trul [...]

  7. Well it wasn t quite what I was expecting or hoping for It s a cute book with short 2 3 page chapters of little ideas to make better choices and create a better life But I was hoping for something a little less generic and yet a little less of a memoir of her experiences It s a cute, quick read the best part of the book is one of the last chapters that tells me to read Not sure I need that advice if I m reading this random book but I appreciate the gesture.

  8. In the Introduction we are told, This is a small book with a big message In these thirty something vignettes, you ll find a host of ways to improve life as you know it, right where you are The author does not disappoint It is a small book that can be read in one or two sittings, or as you might learn from the book, while standing in line somewhere It will take you much longer though, to digest, and put these common sense suggestions into action Many you will have heard before but, if you are lik [...]

  9. This is a small book that Claire Diaz Ortiz has put together on her opinions of a better life I am always up to read encouraging tips or advice on ways to enjoy life or new things to do Most everything in this book is stuff I have read before, my favorite chapter was on how to say no I think she wrote that chapter especially well But the rest of the book was a bit of a let down and I felt like it was almost selfishly written or perhaps of a brag book I think it is so great that she has seen an [...]

  10. A nice book giving some ideas to inspire you to live easier, better life Nothing really mind blowing, but serves as a nice reminder What I liked about the book is that the author is sharing her own stories, which at some points were funny, e.g her story about trip in Vienna and seeing Einbahnstrasse I would actually much be interested in reading biography of Claire as her life from the little bit she shared seems really breathtaking.

  11. The 33 year old author went to Stanford, did graduate work at Oxford, founded a charity in Africa, became a social media innovator, spent a year saying no to all requests, blogs, and has a toddler so how much did YOU accomplish in your 20 s Yes, I m snarky I may also be too old for her advice And envious of her ability to write so insightfully about her accomplishments.

  12. Disappointing and shallow book containing platitudes that could be found on greeting cards The short chapters left much to be desired, with very little provided to aid the reader to put into action some of the concepts offered by the author.

  13. This is a beat little book that offers ways on how you can make your life better It was interesting and made me think.

  14. Very short read Felt like having coffee with the author while she shared sweet memories and quick fired some advice about how to enjoy of your life.
